I have used hard core before it has a strong sweet smell to it that carries and seems to stay with you.It works but not my choice in lure type.

seems like more people use Backbreaker for stuff other than beaver (even though the only beavers i catch are on BB)lol, should just market it as all-animal lure paul...ill give it a shot for coon this year i guess then...

I can vouch for Backbreaker and coons, was trying to catch some problem beavers and the coons wouldn't stay away from the Backbreaker and kept clogging the traps up before the beav .

I have done real well with hard core......give it a try even just a small bottle and make up your own mind, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

i was dissapointed with it..........i used it last year and the coons seemed to ignore it......i switched out lures and tried moneymaker and fur king...started catching the coon then.

Have 1/2 bottle left. did nothing for me, might send it back see if I get my $15.00 back. I used Dobbins Purrfect last year, caught a bunch on coons on land with it, got 2 bottles this year.

I like Hardcore as a call lure. It's real loud. I use it with a fish bait and have done very well with it.

I've tried it for 2 years and NEVER had a catch. Some lures may work well in some area of the country and be pathetic in others. I've also never had any luck with minty coon lures in my area of the country.

Lenon's raccoon all call and I can't keep them out!! It's the best one I've found and will last for at least 2 weeks in the solid rain.

I never thought of it as a coon lure,However evry season I wind up with a coon at the end of drownin wire at Castor mound sets. Ithought it was just a nosy ramblin coon, its usually adult boars that I catch in there beaver sets, maybe it was the back breaker.

now there is a big run on pauls Backbreaker... just because of this post... i had to buy a couple oz to try too. :o) how do you guys use it? same as other coon lures'? and i have caught a bunch of coon on hardcore.
mix up a can or large can of cheap cooking grease, heat it up until it almost steams and add VERY SLOWLY an ounce of anise oil, put it the frig and great smear bait. plus i love the smell. caught 2 coons couple of days ago doin ADC work with it. they walked right bye the marshmellow cage and went into the anise grease cage. 2 big boars. just something else to experiment with.
