I think the 360 is advertised as keeping the gas fresh for 12 months. I don't know how long the regular Stabil is supposed to keep gas fresh, but I have great success using the regular Stabil for 10 months of storage.

I use either up here. I think it's more important to use non oxygenated fuel which you have. You will be fine.

If you got ethanol free gas, you do not need to put Stabil of any sort in it. Its the ethanol that causes the problem that Stabil is made to cure.

I have used sea foam in the atv's at my place and have not liked the results. My carbs get a gummy build up. Not sure why, so I use Stabil in all small engines, atv's, snowgos, mowers, chainsaws, boats, generators, and all else.

While I'm a great advocate for ethanol free gas (I use it in all my small engines), pure gas will still produce varnishing problems when stored for long periods of time. I believe that Stabil has been around a lot longer than ethanol gas.

I never use anything but ethanol-free gas in my ATV, snow blower, snowmobile, etc. I didn't put any additives in my snow blower last spring. It wouldn't start this winter. The carb was all gummed up. I will be either running the carb dry this spring or putting it away with Stabil.

Been helping out on and off for a local guy who does marine and small engine works. He has been using a product called Startron for a few years and have to admit that after using it myself won't go back to anything else. If I recall correctly, one large bottle 10-12 oz does something like 300 gallons. Good for both ethanol or non-ethanol gas.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I think higher octane burns slower by design to prevent spark knock. I get better starting using 89 octane than the premium. But the 89 octane is rec gas with no alcohol at all, and I still use startron as I never know how long something will sit.

non-oxygenated gas is 91 octane The rec gas I buy is certified as 89 octane, straight gas no ethenol.

But the 89 octane is rec gas with no alcohol at all, and I still use startron as I never know how long something will sit. The short answer is that octane is the measure of how much compression a fuel can withstand before igniting. Meaning in what position the piston will be when the fuel ignites. If it's to far forward or backward top dead center you will get a knock. This is why you always use the recommended octane rating from your vehicles manufacturer. Anything else will not be good for your engine or get you better gas mileage as some believe. Another reason to stay away from high performance engines that require high octane fuel that cost more because less is produced. It's not that the fuel is any better just that it fires at a different compression. PS never use an octane booster if you put in the right octane in the first place.
