Their real value is in cooking with them.
No way does a modern Teflon or ceramic or whatever last long enough that your great grand kids can inherit them. Unless your in your last few months of life there wont even be anything left for your kids.
Don't sell them. Do what gramma did. Cook with them. They don't wear out or rust away with regular use.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Wagner Ware is not that old. They are a little rough, but you can season them and make them work. The older ones are Erie, Griswold, and BSW, which are not marked as such. Keep them seasoned and use them. Better than any regular pan. I'm not sure what Wagner Ware you are talking about but all of mine have been smooth. Not noticed a difference between them and the more well known names, excusing price of course. Clark

Buster, Here is another site that will help you determine the age of your skillets. http://www.castironcollector.com/trademarks.phpI think its really cool that you have your grandfather's skillets, I would love to have my Papaw's fish pot. Even though he's been gone for close to fifty years I can still remember him and later my Daddy and uncle frying tons of fish in that old pot.
