I need a 100+ stations I would never listen to like a hole in a canoe but would like 5-10 stations to choose from when on the road. Don't listen to the radio during trapping season never did so paying $160 a year for radio stations ain't going to happen here. I can listen to elevator music at the Docs office not forking out for it that's for sure. Just a lot of Rock and Roll and some Motown stations is all I need talk radio is of no interest to me.
Buddy said that they "just keep charging you once they get your bank info" but he drinks a bit so that might not be 100% spot on! LOL For $5 and month for 5-10 of them stations I'd be a member for life but for $160 a year no way. Who has it and what's your experience dealing with them.

I have had two trial subscriptions. One when I bought my truck and the last one when I took my truck in for its 18 month service. I don't know why I got the 18 month service one, but there it was. The trial ran out on June 6th. They kept sending me letters wanting me to sign up for an introductory price of $5.oo , PLUS FEES AND TAXES, for a six month period. You have to use a credit card and after the 6 month introductory period, they continue the service at the current monthly rate, PLUS FEES AND TAXES. If you want to cancel your subscription, after you sign up for the 6 month, reduced price trial, you have to call them or they just start charging your credit card. So, your drunk buddy is pretty much correct. They don't tell you what the current rate, after the trial period, or the fees and taxes, are. They called me so many times trying to get me to sign up that I blocked their number. When I had the trail I only used 3 old country stations and the Grateful Dead channel.

Yep they want that bank info pretty bad and they highlight the user agreement part on what they post I just don't want to get locked into a never ending (Cell Phone) type of contract.
Unless I can pay with a M/O or Paypal then I will never sign up, paid and done is the only way no personal info.

Yep, I originally had a 3 month free trial when we bought our car, and I got a 2 month free trial from my insurance company for "loyalty". I mostly enjoyed it, and I told myself I would do it for $5/month, but not the roughly $16/month each that is the regular rate for what I got.
You have to CALL before each special deal expires to cancel, or they will then automatically renew monthly at the then current "normal rate". I think they have my credit card info, not my bank info.
When you call to cancel, they will probably try to keep you on by offering some discount from the "normal rate". If you don't like what they offer, then tell them to cancel. Then over time, you will get some offers in the mail or by email for discounts to get you to sign back up. Just wait for the discount you can live with and sign back up if you want, but know you must then CALL to cancel before the end of that discount period. I currently have two vehicles on for 1 year for roughly $60 each for the year. They eventually sent those offers after the free trial offers ended, and I took them. I marked on my calendar when I have to call to cancel.

If you listen to just a few channels how repetitive is it?

I have Pandora on my phone , have a blue tooth speaker at home , and a blue tooth adapter in the cigaret lighter on my truck and int he wifes van.
drop phone on charger turn on speaker and let it pull music and play off the home internet.
when I go to the truck I put it in offline mode and it has my most listned to channels saved so I can sync tot eh truck and let it play
the hole family uses it and it is 30 something a year no commercials and if I don't like a song thumbs down and it doesn't play that again. thumbs up a song or artist and it plays more of it .
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I found out accidently recently that I can play Iheart radio in my Silverado when my cell phones along, it just finds it and starts playing, thes things a lot smarter than I am!
Doesn`t cost me a dime other than data usage, and I never use all that.

Something I didn't mention was that I do very little driving. If I was going to be spending 2-3-4 hours a day in a vehicle, I would have it. I have heard, from people that have it, is that if you call to cancel they will offer you the discounted rate. So it is possible to get it for the rate of $5.oo, plus fees and taxes, pretty much all the time.

It seems the plan is to get you to sign up to get your CC info and lock you into the expensive contracts if you don't play the right game. For $5 a month I'd do it but that does not seem to be their real goal. Am I off base on this or what?

Motown channel? That is why the program is so expensive. They have to keep pumping out motown music for the 2 people across the country that tune in to that channel. My stalker is so persistent no facts, no help just he same old dribble!
