I'm thinking of starting a Christian summer camp for kids where they can experience Faith and the outdoors. Won't all be Bible studies and meditation, lol, they will also be exposed to archery, canoeing, hiking and other outdoor things. If it pans out I would like to expand on that idea and have a trapping camp in the winter so folks from other places can come and trap our little part of the world.
I know there will be similar legalities to daycare businesses but I'm sure there is plenty that I'm not thinking about. I'm hoping some of you that participate in such things can help me see what I might be getting myself into. lol

you would likely want to start as a day camp.
working with scouts and 4-H the planning and background work that goes on for a one week program is huge months of planning.
faith and the outdoors Vacation bible school would be a great way to start , a week then expand on what you learn.
running it through a local church gets you a facility with classroom space , an entity to take on the insurance and more volunteers to help you as well as structure , there are often camps that your church has access to rent that would have the facility , you provide the curriculum.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I agree, that would be your best option. There are two different lakes I fish in the summer that have Christian camps on them. I think they rent them out short term or the entire summer. They would have all the facilities necessary. If your church sponsors it, they might also have insurance coverage for such an event. In the church I attend, all volunteers undergo a background check which is important in today's society. Good luck, hope you can make it work. It sounds like a great plan.
