Any suggestions on what to use to make my own speed bumps to put in the street? School zone and Grandkids playing. Danged vehicles need to slow down.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Doubt by law you can block the roadway with anything you might need to go through the City/County. They make a plastic bump about a foot wide and it goes across almost curb to curb.

Put a tin star on your t shirt, wear a cowboy hat, sit in a lawn chair with a blow dryer and point it at passing cars. Homemade speed trap. I like that idea!! LOL

Best I've ever seen is in Centennial Wyoming. An old white car with two red coffee cans on the roof. Been there for 40 yrs and always on duty! Works well.

Thinking a old metal gutter would make a nice form for that bump! Might shake a few teeth loose on the weak minded ones too.

I don't know the price, but you can buy hard rubber sipped bumps. They sell them for speed ranges; faster would be not as tall and slower would be higher.

Get a bunch of guineas.
About two dozen or so.
Let them run amock.
Tell your neighbors you don't know where they came from, but you think they are in danger of going extinct.
It may not solve your problem, but it should be fun to see how things transpire.
