The banker saw his old friend Tom, an eighty-year old rancher, in town. Tom had lost his wife a year or so before and rumor had it that he was marrying a 'mail order' bride.

Being a good friend, the banker asked Tom if the rumor was true.

Tom assured him that it was. The banker then asked Tom the age of his new bride to be.

Tom proudly said, 'She'll be twenty-one in November.'

Now the banker, being the wise man that he was, could see that the appetite of a young woman could not be satisfied by an eighty-year- old man.

Wanting his old friend's remaining years to be happy the banker tactfully suggested that Tom should consider getting a hired hand to help him out on the ranch, knowing nature would take its own course.

Tom thought this was a good idea and said he would look for one that afternoon..

About four months later, the banker ran into Tom in town again..

'How's the new wife?', asked the banker.

Tom proudly said, 'Good - she's pregnant.'

The banker, happy that his sage advice had worked out, continued, 'And how's the hired hand?'

Without hesitating, Tom said, 'She's pregnant too.'

Don't ever underestimate old Guys

Sounds like my grandpa. He had his last child in his 60's & died when the son was about 5. Strange having an uncle younger than you. My uncle is a marine just like his dad.

reminds me of Samuel Whittemore at 78 on 4/19/1775 he engaged the British he fired so fast with such precision the brits thought a group of men were firing on them , as they fixed bayonets and charged his location behind a stone wall he took 1 with his musket 2 with his pistols and was shot in the face as he reached for his saber. he was bayoneted 13 times and left for dead . his friends carried him to the doctor insisting the doc try and patch him up. not only did he lived 18 more years he fathered several more children.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Story Musgrave also comes to mind. Saw him speak a few years ago at a work conference, interesting dude with some really interesting stories. Has kids ages from ~10-50.
