So I have driven through Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Oaklahoma. But when I get to Kansas I see my first armadillo dead on the road. Not just one but about a dozen. Is Kansas the land of the Dillo?

15 years ago we did not have them. We are coming to the end of a 18 year dry warm cycle. When we are cold they don’t survive. They need to eat insects year round, and when the ground freezes solid they all die.

I went to the range today and saw half a dozen "sleeping" on the side of the roads. We got loads of them here in the low country of SC

You ain't seen nothing yet wait till you get to Missouri. Might be south of the Missouri river, but not north of it. Haven't seen one yet up here.

Did you not see any in Oklahoma? They're thick as grass here. Wait until you hit one at highway speed... You'll swear you just ran over a bowling ball. Mike
