i was just wondering when you are stripping a foxes tail do you cut all the way to the end of the tail or half way or what?? ive never done one before.

I cut them to where the fleshy part of the tail ends

I wil pull them down about 2 Inches from the anus and then use the strippers. I used to use 2 20 penny nails.(same principal, just harder to keep up with.) But, when stripping, you do not pull the hide off the tail; you pull the tail from inside the hide.

skin half way down, pull the hid down the back to give you room, put the tail puller on, grab with both hands and give a rank, pulls the hide right off the bone, slick as a minnow.

I do what Earl8656 does. I skin the tail down 2 or 3 inches, then put on the tail stripper. Pull the bone from the tail, not the tail from the bone.

Then just run your knife down the inside of the hole where the bone came out, cutting it open all the way to the tip.

simple once you do it a few times.

If there is any other advice it would be that once you start to pull on the bone, and you feel it coming, then keep it coming!
