Found 3 dead chickens this morning in the pen.Heads were missing and parts of the breast,legs and thighs had been eaten.They were very near their roosts,2 adult layers and 1 young hen.My idea is a grinner what do you guys think?

Would a single possum eat 3 or so lbs in one episode?or maybe a cat

Do you have a picture of the pen . I'm a master chicken killer detective . If you look at the other post on dead chickens . I used my skills to solve that one .

Most chicken,duck,guinea deaths I deal with are almost always due to coons when they are killed in the roost.Maybe different for you but that is how it is for me.




I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

Working on a pic.Most of my chicken killing experince has been coons also but most times its 1 or 2 pr night and they take the chicken with them.So far I have never had coons partialy eat several and not even attempt to take them out of the pen.We have more than our share of coons along with plenty of cats and grinners.

Weasles eat the heads and create a massacre. My coon experience has been the same as yours.
