HSUS GETTING TASTE OF ITS OWN MEDICINE IN COURT By JIM MATTHEWS www.OutdoorNewsService.comThe Humane Society of the United States, an organization that does little to nothing for animal shelters, but sues, badgers and lobbies politicians and businesses into adopting its radical animals rights agenda, is getting a taste of its own medicine. This ruling all but set the stage for a class-action RICO lawsuit against HSUS for misrepresenting itself in its fundraising campaigns across the nation. This future lawsuit could easily bankrupt HSUS and put it out of business – and send some of its top executives to prison.http://www.outdoornewsservice.com/index....t&Itemid=18

Here's a question, if the HSUS is convicted will the legislation the they forced to be passed with corruption be overturned or otherwise reexamined, since they were found to be courupt and that the legislation was being passed with corrupt practices Laws are laws, once enacted they require a new law. Washington DC (For Example) will still be enforcing their HSUS Based laws until a new law gets approved.

We as non AR folks, Trappers, Hunters, Fishermen, Farmers, etc. should stay aware of what is happening with the AR comunity. Bills brought to the table dont become laws without popularity. Educating the public is the key to the right bills becoming laws,It just so happens that an animal damage control guy comes in contact with more people outside his own circle than the rest. Some of these people are realy influential in government circles, others not so much, but they will be passing on what they learned from you in the half hour you may spend talking with them about a job you do for them. Some states are restrictive in how we do our jobs, Explain that to them too, they will pass it on. The more people understand why the industry became popular right after the fur market crash, the more people will understand why trapping fur is needed as a management tool. It will be understood best by a governer that just paid 10,000 bucks to have his attic restored after a raccoon invasion than anyone. When people start preaching about how the animals have no where to go, and we are encroaching on there habitat, cut them off and ask them if they just built the home last year. Then explain the life cycle of a squirrel. Animals are oportunists like us all, not some disney charactor. Let people know the differances between humans and animals. When the lies of the AR extremists are exposed, the fires will light themselves and there wont be enough liberal media on the planet to put them out.I wouldnt expect any club or organisation to do the heavy lifting on this. Thats how I think WE should get involved Robb.

Great post Mike , thats one of the best parts about this job . You have a captive audience and they understand better when its effecting them and their pocket book instead of someone else's property or bank account.
