Seems they only open their mouths long enough to change feet.

As professionals we are subject to oversite and they should be also.

Unfortunately, this article puts all wco's in a bad light.

What starts as "The Killing Agency" will quickly turn into "The Killing Business".

Pretty soon, no tools except cages.

No, it's actually done very easily...even red tailed hawks are subject.
Just set a snare too close to a bait and you'll find out when a raptor flies down and hops up the trail !

Why would you put the snares right next to the bait station . I keep mine way back so I can check them without leave my scent at the bait . Sounds like they need some training .

Not even cages in some cases either.

That's a pretty negative article and gives all trappers a black eye. But sadly its written by some journalist using the worst source of accurate information out there like HSUS and PETA to spin it the wrong way.

This article is not much better http://www.sacbee.com/2012/04/28/4448951/interactive-graphic-animals-killed.html

The public deserves the truth and none of this Bambi loves Chachi horse poo. Each and everyone of you I hope are using opportunities to properly educate the public.

We all get a non target catch every now and then. Using poision or lethal traps is one way to handle things, but in the event of a non target animal tripping the trigger, its hard to undo. Which is why I only use lethal traps when I know what I am after is the only animal that is going to get caught. Even then I get surprised sometimes.
We cant all cheer when wildlife services gets caught up in something put out there by the antis. Its like switching sides and backing them and what they do. I think we should also be a little carefull about listening to an ousted employee, as his story could also be fabricated to make the agency look bad. When all this comes together so nicely wrapped in a package and proudly displayed for us to read, you gotta wonder if we are playing into someones bigger game, and what that game actually is.
Entire countries have fallen apart from within using the same tricks of the trade. Why wouldnt they work on a smaller scale?

I hope it's not true it does sound like just some story to get people to donate money . Need to hire a board of trappers to investigate this . Ya because that would happen , common sence can't have that . Need a collage kid to investigate that knows nothing about trapping critters . Wonder how many lizard eggs them guys ran over checking there eagle sets

Pesky, you just ain't trying, I've killed a dog, a hawk, and an owl. Of course, none of that was illegal back then. I haven't seen any eagles so I guess that explains why I haven't caught any.

Remember the source of this info PLEASE. Mr Strader is a disgruntled former employee, if you google his name you will see the issues he was involved in and the people he has ties too. Put 2 and 2 together and then judge on his credability.........................

The rest is just pure leftist talk and info that has been circulated for many years against WS and the killing fields type crap that has zero facts besides the numbers which are available through the freedom of information act. The Sacramento times or what ever not having a bias on an issue like this? Laughable for sure.

Reminds me of the anti poison rhetoric from the late 60s. Big write ups in Out Door Life and other outdoor magazines regarding the use of 1080 compound. That was just one of the issues that resulted in the banning of 1080/cyanide/getter guns from use.
