What is the difference between a lure that is used with M44 and a bite and pull type lure? I thought they were similar but I see lure makers that sell two different types of lures and each claim to be specific as a bite and pull or good on m44. I assume that these are food lures/ curiosity?

There both the same lure type, food/curiosity. The M44 requires a canine to bite and pull the head of the device to fire the M44. The M44 is tightly controled by law so we trappers replaced it with a bone or bait stick with a pawhold bedded in the right spot. Most of these type lures are designed to taste good enough for them to want to take it with them..

Common sense catches alot of fur..

Getter guns and M-44's all have the same goal, get the coyote to pull this good smelling thing out of the ground, and take it with them, These lures are also good at trap sets. Some are made from "old timers" formulas who still take the time to collect the ingredients that go into them. Some of these lures are not very loud but are extremely effective!
