kyron4 OP trapper K Joined: Jun 2013 Posts: 1,311 Indiana	Never made any lure before, but I got a jar of muskrat glands and would like to make a lure for K9's in a dirt hole set and mink pocket sets. Is that a good use for rat gland or is better use for something else ? Any simple recipes for a novice ? -Thanks

trappergbus trapper T Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 5,445 Southern Michigan	Keep it simple, 50x50 mink and rat glands, fresh ground. fixed with pickling salt. Add glycerin to get the thickness ya want. works for all predators.. Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..

I thought a rolling k9 meant a snapped trap with a tuff of fur in it ? Also, my glands are fresh frozen, any issue with that ? -Thanks

Or if you apply it to the side of a tree or post at the appropriate height they will stay on their feet while they rub on it.
