Never made any lure before, but I got a jar of muskrat glands and would like to make a lure for K9's in a dirt hole set and mink pocket sets. Is that a good use for rat gland or is better use for something else ? Any simple recipes for a novice ? -Thanks

Keep it simple, 50x50 mink and rat glands, fresh ground. fixed with pickling salt. Add glycerin to get the thickness ya want. works for all predators..

Common sense catches alot of fur..

I'm confused,so you want a rolling response ? I thought a rolling k9 meant a snapped trap with a tuff of fur in it ? Also, my glands are fresh frozen, any issue with that ? -Thanks

Rolling response is ok down a hole because they have to try to get it out before they can roll on it. Or if you apply it to the side of a tree or post at the appropriate height they will stay on their feet while they rub on it.

best lures and baits on the trapline will make a "pet" coyote lick/eat it, then roll or rub on whatever it was placed on, then pee. that kind of response and whatever your testing will catch everything but herbivores. and some of them will also want a close up sniff.
