TWIN BRIDGES T-MAN gettogether Spoonbill time

Will be Mar 16 for the fish fry and Mar 17 for the Saturday events....I have gotten Shelter Three reserved and paid for so we will have a roof over our heads.

We need for RSVP as soon as possible so we know how much of the main course is needed.

Again the fish fry will be fri evening approx. 5-5:30 we will cook breakfast early Saturday morning eggs, pancakes sausage and bacon. And COFFEE WILL BE SUPPLIED

The noon meal Saturday the main dish which this year will be a whole hog with loin, links along with it. We ask that a covered dish or dessert be brought. Thank you ladies for those wonderful dishes.

Please bring what you want to drink

And yes we will have a repeat of the dirthole contest with some nice prizes again going to the winners. Okla boys....that Kansas girl has been practicing on the bobcats and winning so you better practice .

As you know this/your event is paid for by donations to be raffled off Saturday so bring your trap related item. Cash donations are welcome also.

Clete, are you accepting products for prizes? You have never said, but I'm sure the things you had on the table last year didn't just grow there!

Not answering for Cletis, Lee, but the event is paid for by cash donations and a raffle drawing with prizes donated by those in attendance. The prizes for the contest are also donated by attendees and trap supply houses. Duke trap has always been very generous with traps to give to the youngsters. I will not try to name the suppliers who have donated to the event as I might miss someone, but we have been blessed with a lot of support. This will be the 10th time for having this event and it should be a great time for all.

We will have a whole stuffed hog with pork loin and smoked sausage and hot links, I will also through some chickens on the smoker along with extra pork butts and briskets for Saturday. Friday night I will have the maque choux and 2 fryers and I do have about 15 pounds of blue cat. And miss Anna has got the hush puppies for Friday night and pea salad for Saturday. So let's make this the biggest one yet.

We will be there for the week again, so hopefully we can get some fresh white bass for the Friday fish fry. I will bring some spoonbill. Let me know what you need.
This year, I'll be staying at the pavillion on Saturday, so no fishing for me that day. My son would most likely be glad to go out with the boat, if someone wants to get out on the water.

Zim and I are so sorry we can't make it there this year! Too much going on near here for us to pull that one off. That sure was a fun time! Someone needs to run around yelling SPOOOONBIIIIIIILLLLL for me!

Ken, you should come down, it might be a bit warm for you but the weather forecast looks really good with the highs in the upper 50's to lower 60's and the lows in the mid to lower 30's. Dallas always puts on a good feed and I do a good job of standing around looking good while everyone works on the food.

Well, I can verify that Dallas puts on a heck of a feed, coolstucco does stand around but I'm a little hazy on that good lookin part.

I can't believe another year has gone by already. Wow, time seems to fly by fast! I know everyone is ready for spring to get here. I hope this year, that the white bass timing works out. Last year , they were laying low, until we had to leave.

Had some friend from this side of the state there this last weekend, they snagged a bunch of good ones. They said the lake was full of debris, worse they've ever seen. Docks, tires on wheels, incredible numbers of full trees. Hopefully all that will be gone by your get together.

Tomorrow, I will get the boat out, and get it ready, along with the camper. We will be hitting the road next Saturday, and we are ready to roll. It will be a week filled with fun and adventure. Anyone that has wanted to go to this should, and you will be glad you did!

When you're done, get ready for the FTA 50th Anniversary Convention and Trapperman Feed in Marshfield in June!!!

I have been working on getting things ready, and I'm getting there. Now I done went and got my back screwed up again. It seems like all of my batteries died at the same time, and I need a water pump for the boat. Lots of little pains adding up to be expensive, but nothing will stop me. Lol.
We reserved our campsite last week, so that is done. The long range forcast looks pretty good, but that is a guess, at best! Last year, the first couple of mornings were in the 20's, which did not bother us at all. We didn't need to go far to find a lot of fish, but this is a new year.
Cletis, I can bring a griddle for Saturdays breakfast, and I'll flip pancakes or whatever else hits the grill. One thing I don't have, is tarps or fabric to enclose the shelter, if needed.

I will bring some tarps and heaters. I plan on getting there Wed. sometime.

You will probably need at least on tarp to haul the kraut balls in. Lol

Hey gang, thanks for everything! What a great time and great food! I left before it was over, but didn't get to say adios to most, but needed to get home. Thank you Clete, Dallas, Brian, John and all the folks that work so hard on this event, It is appreciated by all!

Had a really great time this weekend!!! Thank you Dallas and Cody for helping a couple Arkansas boys catch a fish with the tips and how too. Such Great food and all the kiddos running around, just a really great get together. Thanks Cletis and John, Brian and all the rest of you guys that put that on, it was really wonderful.

I picked up one of lees knives at the silent auction that’s sure to get beat up this year, I almost hate to as pretty as it is. Thanks for the drink Lee.

Well, we got home a couple of hrs ago, and I'm tired. We had another great trip. For us, fishing was a lot tougher this year. The festivities started Friday, and everyone went beyond the call of duty.
Cletis, Dallas, John, Brian and all of you, deserve a big round of thanks. There are more that I did not name, but you know who you are.
I met a few new folks which was great, and a lot of people I'd met before were there too.
The young trappers worked hard to get thier share of the prizes, and that was fun to watch.
All in all, it was another amazing weekend, surrounded by some of the best people you could ever want to meet. I heard through the grapevine, that some catch a little fur, too
