Too much water.. even for beaver trapping

Trapping on a buddies land. Yesterday ditches were full but not overflowing. My brother and my buddy put out 5 sets. I went with them today to set more and yesterdays sets that where at the water line yesterday were now 5 feet from the bank.
The Honda pioneers had a half inch of water in the floor board crossing to get to them.
Well we aint the brightest crayons in the box but we decided to pull till the water recedes.
On a positive note we did manage one small beaver.

Know where your coming from. Have six sets that would take scuba gear to check. Rain has stopped so maybe I can check those sets and put in more in a few days.

This bottom land rises fast and falls fast. We are just trapping weekends so should be down by friday.

My season is done for beaver. I cant even drive to any of my spots I have left to trap beaver due to flooding.

I hear ya, we need an argo and scuba gear.

Been rugged the past month, before that was frozen over, reminds me of when is started trapping in the late 70's. Pulling up and heading for dryer ground hopefully next week.

Been raining almost 2 weeks solid here. Stops long enough for the water to recede a bit and then starts again. Problem is there isnt any where for thr water to recede to now.

We too have been getting a few pickle showers, got 6 1/2 inches in a day & a half.

We had too much rain, ice out and snow melt in a day and a half last week. Some smaller ditches can be possibly looked at next week barring no more precipitation.

Got a good flooding last night, now it's moved on past but suppose to stall out and back over us again tonight, get a double dose of it ,lol

Dang near a foot of rain here in the past week.

By July we'll be begging for rain, lol.

We've got 10 inches of new snow the last two days.

I am not sure how much it rained yesterday but it was a lot. I live 6 blocks from main street and I had to drive about 20 blocks to get to it because of all the flooded streets.

Nice and sunny today though.

I poured out 9.5 inches from the rain gauge last night before the next round hit, it's sitting ant just over 6 inches currently, it's like Hurricane Harvey was awakened and returned for round two. been raining the past month. A 20 mph wind would be catastrophic
