FBU Annual Tman Auctions 1 ITEM LEFT Ends 4-6 - 03/03/18 05:25 PM

Dear Friend and FBU/NTA Supporter,
It is that time of year again to begin working on the General Raffle's for FBU at our NTA conventions.
Friends of Trapperman.com sponsor at least one firearm at each event and sometimes two. It is because of the strong support and dedication from Paul our leader, each and every one of you that donates and everyone that bids we are successful. The annual fundraising auction we have on here on Trapperman enables us to sponsor the guns in the name of Friends of Trapperman.com.
So after word from Bossman that the auction forum is cleared and ready it is time to start donating items for the auctions!

Besides the items donated to raise monies for the rifle sponsors we have on here many of you that also donate and extra item for the silent auctions at the conventions and the awards banquet. If any wish to do that as in the past please pm me or email AzTrappers@gmail.com and or call at the number listed below. I will handle that separate from what is posted up for the auctions for us to bid on!
It is appreciated so very much and it is because of you and others like you we are so successful each year.
I thank you in advance for your generosity and support in making, this year's convention events a huge success. I am very proud when we announce at the events the guns that are donated by Trapperman.com as well as many of you also that are in the crowd!

Protecting Wild Things and Wild Places
For those that may be new and not know who FBU is and what we do here is additional information that gets asked each year!
FurBearers Unlimited (FBU) is a 501C3 Non- Profit, sister organization of the National Trappers Association (NTA). All donations to FBU are tax deductible.
FBU is dedicated to developing, promoting and supporting educational programs based upon scientific, technical, and legal study and analysis for the restoration, wise use, management and conservation of furbearers and other natural resources.
FBU has events at each of the regional NTA conventions as well as the main NTA Annual Convention and Awards Banquet. In addition FBU with assistant from individual state trapping organizations host fundraising banquets in conjunction with these affiliate organizations of the NTA. The monies raised from these events are split after costs between FBU as well as the states hosting these fundraising banquets. The funds enable FBU to assistant in their many projects and reach their goals as well as aide the states in their efforts to stay in business and meet their goals as well.
At these events we have a General Raffle in which consists of several guns as well as other items. These items for these events come from donations. The guns are sponsored by different State Trapping Organizations, Individuals, Trapping Forums such as Trapperman.com and a multitude of businesses that support the goals and efforts to accomplish successful events. The other items are all donated by the various Trap Supply Dealers, Trappers Magazines and local Individuals as well as businesses. The items for the Silent and Live Auctions come from the same.
We sponsor the annual NTA Awards Banquet and have the same events as above as well as our main event which is the live auction with our finer items donated placed there and a few other games as per the banquets. This is a special night to acknowledge those receiving special awards. All of the items for this event come from donations as well.
We acknowledge all donations by tagging each item, announcing when drawn, a listing in the convention and banquet programs and a year- end summary in the American Trapper as well as FBU website.
You can help us reach our goals and have a successful event by donating an item for the event, Sponsoring a gun individually to be recognized from yourself or your business or in addition you can make a pledge of a cash donation to go towards sponsorship of additional items needed to make these events successful.
The funds FBU raises goes towards many things. In the past here are a few; a grant match to supply trapper education packages to the states which included in this package is the new trappers handbook.
FBU also gives states trappers handbooks for various education projects as requested. Such as trapper education hosted by the state affiliates, boy scout encampments, the NTA coloring books etc.., .
We also give grants for various wildlife projects, studies or research to the states the list is long but such an example is we purchased a trailer thru a grant request for Maryland Trappers Association Trappers Ed. Awarded a grant to Michigan Trappers Association for their snare research project, assisted Ohio State Trappers with the Otter reintroduction project, assisted Ohio Division of Wildlife for Otter River management plan, University of West Virginia for Otter River management plan, purchased a mounted Beaver for a kids museum for Alabama State Trappers Association, funded the Education video Destroying the Myth as well as Circle of Life, assisted in a grant for a trapper educational program on cable television in conjunction with Fur Takers of America, Iowa Bobcat Study, Contribution to Delta Waterfowl Studies, Mexican Bobcat studies... the list goes on. We also award scholarships from various applicants each year to NTA family members studying under wildlife management. As well as award grants for a multitude of efforts in regards to wildlife management.
