I'm sure it's been posted before but since I'm new, I'll post again. Who's a vet? Who's active? Thank you to all who have served and are continuing to serve our country. I am a Jarhead. 2007 - 11.

I would like to thank all that have served. You are better than me.

Hind site being 20/20 I would not change a thing. I have a great wife and wonderful kids. That said, I do wish that I would have served. Most of my friends joined. Fortunately they all came back, mostly. Some better than others.

I do regret not serving our Nation, but I also do not regret having my family. I owe a huge debt to those that served. No, I owe it all to them. Past and present. They are better men than me.

I hope in my time that the time does not come that the the tree of liberty needs refreshing.

Currently serve the USAF as a civilian. 0401 Biologist with Civil Engineers. Many civilian employees support our military now for much longer duration than troops serve. For continuity, civilians tend to view long term approaches as an O6 looks at the two year cycle....then they are gone. I am very glad I can serve my country and protect those that put their lives on the line daily. I fear the day when our country does not credit God for His protection and establishment of our country.
