Trapper's World magazine having a kids contest

This is for young trappers under the age of 18. You can have a chance to win a $100. gift certificate for first place, and $75. for second and third place. The artist, Marnie Pepper, who does the drawings for the Kid's Corner asked to have her payments held to help with the prizes. What a nice lady!

Articles are to be written by the young trapper and be a minimum of 600 words. The deadline to submit your article will be May 28, 2018. The winners will be announced in the July/August issue of Trapper's World. The articles will be featured in Trapper's World.

You have your choice of gift certificates to Sterling Fur, Minnesota Trapline Products, Dakota Line or Juniata Valley Trapper Supply.

I don't know if you have to be a subscriber to the magazine, but I'll find out and let you know.

I thought this was something that needed to be spotlighted, because it's something positive that they're doing to help the young trappers.

Trapper's World Youth Writing Contest
1st place $100 gift certificate

To enter simply submit your trapping article (written by the young trapper themselves) to Trapper's World magazine with a note that it is for the Youth Writing Contest. Please include your age with your entry. Entries must be 600 words or more. Pictures are encouraged but are not necessary. Writers must be under the age of 18 to enter. All entries must be received by May 28, 2018. Winners will have their articles featured in Trapper's World magazine.

Trapper's World staff will select three winners and they will be announced in the July/August issue. Each prize will be given in the form of a gift certificate to your choice of Sterling Fur Company in Ohio, Minnesota Trapline Products in Minnesota, Dakota Line in South Dakota, or Juniata Valley Trapper Supply in Pennsylvania.
