Trap jaw spacer help needed.

Most of my traps have offset jaws, but I have a number with regular jaws, #3 coil springs of various types. Is there anything better than a nail wrapped around one of the jaws to make them offset? I'm not a welder.

Several wraps of bailing wire twisted tight would probably work.

Learn to weld it’s a useful skill to have and not really all that hard to learn
