The arrow at the top was the first test but I experienced a camera failure. I filled in the hole and started another where the arrow in the middle is pointing. Just made a DH without a trap and put lure in the hole. About a pea sized chunk.

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/13/18 06:43 PM

As you can see there was heavy activity starting around 9:00pm and lasting for 20mins or so.

Then either a return visit or a new visitor around 11:30pm

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/13/18 06:46 PM

And the last video at 3:30am....either a return or a new visitor.

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/13/18 07:45 PM

I could watch all the videos. I want to know what lure you had in the hole. Just out of my own curiosity.

Gonna be testing a bait tonight. Tune in tomorrow. lol

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/14/18 11:01 AM

Filled in the 2 lure spots and dug a hole in between the 2. Added a table spoon of bait/food.

Due to the wind last night I didn't actually capture digging however I captured some aftermath footage.

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/15/18 12:14 PM

More video today from last night. I placed lure again 3 different holes, same area. One variable I can't get a fix on and that is if different foxes are coming through or if this is just one fox that can't get enough of the lure. I've seen the question asked numerous times about and area being "scent flooded" and such will make critters hesitant. I'm hoping by testing the same area and loading it up with scent will answer that question.

I have terrible signal where I'm at so I will post the vids as they load but a warning it will be awhile.

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/16/18 12:18 AM

Hope everybody is having as much fun as I am.

Tonight I filled everything in, made a new DH, bedded a rusty last season trap. I have the camera on it so hopefully we will see what happens.

Let's make a game of it. If there is a catch on camera whomever guesses the time it happens in seconds (30s clips) I'll send them a bottle of lure.

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/16/18 01:48 AM

A few years back I poked in 12 holes with a rebar stake and filled them with a different lure for each. 9 out of 12 got hit up

I'm saving money so I can buy some black flash game cameras to do some studying myself. If the animals didn't know the camera was there I think you could learn a lot. Especially for those of us who don't regularly get snow. Keep the videos coming. Do you have coyotes there too?

Re: A little Testing Video - 06/16/18 03:38 AM

I haven't seen one myself but others have claim to have seen them.

Get the cameras up and angled it seems to help as far as them paying attention to them.
