Craft Beer enthusiasts at the NTA (Updated) - 07/07/18 11:31 PM

I was just wondering if there are any craft beer enthusiasts from around the country that are planning to make the trip to the NTA This year.

If so what beer will you be bringing and is there any Michigan beer you are trying to get ahold of?

I might try to bring up some Red Oak beer. It isn't pasteurized, so I'll have to keep it on ice the whole way up there.

Paul, I'm not sure if you're familiar with any of the Double Barley Brewing Co beers from Smithfield, but if you are taking them something from NC this should definitely be on the list! Red Oak is a good addition as well!

Wednesday night is the Groenewold Pizza Party 6:00-8:00 and lots of folks not there yet

Thursday night is the NTA Awards Banquet - 5:00 until......for those that attend

Friday night is the BBQ starting at 6:00 followed by the Auction at 7:30 and usually runs late

Saturday night is the NTA General Meeting and the FBU Raffle and lots of folks will be leaving already.

Thursday will likely impact the fewest number of folks.

Re: Craft Beer enthusiasts at the NTA in Escanaba - 07/23/18 02:13 AM

I am planning to Have a share on Thursday and on Friday around 5:30 each day. I will be bringing many samples of Michigan craft beer. IF there are any in the pic that you have been wanting to check off your list let me know.

I will post a positive location for the share on Wednesday but I believe the Thursday share will be at my camp site in the camp ground.

This is a portion of what I will have to sample. If you have something from another state to share that would be great but it not mandatory. I just want to share some of why Michigan is a premier craft beer state.

I made it to fairgrounds and have set up camp.

I will have the craft beer share at my campsite at 5:30 Thursday and 5:30 Friday. I have a green and blue canopy tent set up under some evergreen trees. There is a burgundy Silverado and a black utility trailer in my camp site. I am directly north of the vendor entrance gate.

I hope to see you here!

Re: Craft Beer enthusiasts at the NTA in Escanaba - 07/26/18 06:47 PM

Hahaha!

The vendor entrance is closed off now but there is a small brown log cabin at that entrance. From the cabin you can see north there the camping area. If you go towards the campsite area the asphalt dive turns to the left. (West). Don’t follow the turn just stay on the part that turns to dirt. The fist set of Porto potties you come to are along the fence. I am across the drive from the potties.
