Very nice! Looks like one of the better built homemade ones I've seen. I've got a huge chunk of steel waiting to make one of these some day.

I saw s vid of a guy putting a chicken wing in a power hammer for demonstration. It was pretty gross. Explosive was the word he used I think.

It could very easily crush my fingers and hand without a doubt. It's a tool I'll respect for sure

Thanks Finn, it'll take a lot of hand hammering away and make one of my hobbies easier

Thanks slydogx, it’s been a very tough, fun, humbling, and rewarding project for sure.
I’ve destroyed 2 shops in the process in the process of building and installing this beast, my pops shop was where it was built, and mine where it sits now lol.

Used to run a factory made hammer, back when we used to weld up plow shares and heat them, then pound them to shape. It was a hot job that was good for a kid in high school. I've always wanted one now days for building panels for hot rods. Getting too old for the abuse now though!

Nice. I've made a few knives and want to start making hawks and hatchets. I may have to build a bigger forge for hatchets though.
