Wisconsin Grouse ???

Curious if any of you all from Wisconsin are seeing many grouse this year. I had heard their drumming count was down over 30% for the year. I plan on being up there mid October for a week. Any info would be appreciated!

observed less grouse in July Than other years. Pockets will still hold good numbers. Check areas that have been logged or had a fire in recent years.

Thanks Diiggerman! Really looking forward to it. Last year was the first time I had ever been to Wisconsin. Absolute beautiful state. Dads got some real setters that are a joy to hunt with.

Yep. Like corky says. I would stay away from the north east part of the state. I’ve been running bear hounds in that general area this summer. Haven’t seen or heard a single one.
