You should be very happy with that. I know lots of guys use them. Sick with .030 wire on that welder and you should have no troubles.

These Hobart machines run on 120 volts?

And, IIRC, made thru Miller so parts should be fairly easy to come by if needed.

Done some serious welding on my sons derby cars when he was into that. It does about anything I want it to do. Still got the old stick buzz box for the heavier stuff when needed.

Have a look at the Everlast welders as well. Not to pricey, 5 year warranty. I just got an AC /DC pulse tig welder from them and I have to say, it is well put together and thought out.

Hobart is an excellent name, with great support, You can't go wrong.

Probably won't go wrong with any of the big names. I have ran about all of them (mostly Hobart, Lincoln and Miller), for nearly 30 years. If I were to buy any more welders, Miller would be my choice, hands down.

I now have a Hobart 210 MVP that I get along very well with, it can run off of 115 or 230 volts. I consider myself a shade tree welder at best and this is the best I could afford when I needed a replacement welder.

The Hobart are similar to the Miller I believe. Might have a plastic drive gear for the wire instead of Metal like the Miller, but you can always replace down the road.
My buddy has a little 190 mig. Great welder for him for a couple years now around the barn projects.
