Get your net out! According to the weather channel, you could have fish blowing past your windows come morning! Stay safe!

Re: Hey Boss Dobbins - 09/14/18 10:11 AM

bic, I am betting he is hunkered down and without power at this point. Been in our EOC and I can pull up the NIMS event and see all of the current water levels and rainfall amounts. some folks think that a CAT 1 or 2 storm isn't a big deal. Harvey was only a tropical storm and it dumped over 50 inches of rain on Houston last year. One of the horrible things with this storm is the darn thing is moving so slow and going to hammer those folks out there into oblivion. It appears that it will stall out for at least 24-36 hours moving very little and just dumping water on ground already saturated due to an abnormally wet summer. Winds at any velocity over 30 mph will most likely topple most of the big oaks in the path of this storm.

my prayers are with you folks. You trappers out that way let us know you are ok when the power is restored and cell phone towers are back in service.

Can one of you big dogs on here post this at the top of page one for a week or so until we can hear from our fellow TMan family in the areas being effected by this storm. Please.

I’m in town here in Goldsboro and we’ve been without power since at least 2am. Paul lives out in the rosewood area. He may have power out there.

I hope the folks that are now expected to rescue those who would not evacuate stay safe while they are put a risk for the mistakes of others.

Re: Hey Boss Dobbins - 09/14/18 07:43 PM

I don't know why, but we still have power here. Lots of folks in the area are without power. The cable/phone/internet went away a short time ago. Hot spot on my phone still works good.

Been blowing steadily with constant rain. They're saying it should ease up around Sunday. I have sticks, small limbs and lots of leaves in the yard. The lawn sweeper will be getting a workout when this is over. Grandkids will earn some money picking up the sticks and limbs.

Glad you are doing well so far. According to the radar, you have been in the fairly heavy rain bands most of the day. I have had a few showers move through and have the leaves and stick debris but nothing serious.

Many have fared a lot worse for sure!

Just lost power. It caught up to us - lol. Cranked up the generator and all is well for now.

And it's still coming down. Supposed to keep this up through Sat night and maybe into Sunday.

Bossman, you got the lures ourun good time. They arrived today in good shape with less than the usual post office mangling. Must've been that skunky backbreaker that got the kid glove treatment.

We don't have basements here. Water table is too high.
