nice did you cast them yourself or purchase?

I quit lubing my pistol bullets , I could powder coat them just about as fast as lube and size.

powder coated bullets in a 9mm I have about 3K through a glock and no issue.

The top one would work for 45 long colt and 454 Casull in the Casull with lighter loads as there does not seem to be a gas check. The bottom one for 38 special and 357 mag

Ok I appreciate the info I bought a full pickup truck load of long guns and reloading equipment and it is going to take me a few days to go through all off it. Probably have more questions about some of the stuff as I only reload for a few rounds that I hunt with.

I realize I didn't read the first post very well and that you purchased in a lot.

cast bullets reload differently than jacketed

you want them fat generally a 45acp takes a 452 maybe 451 you want them .453 even .454

your working at not sizing then down in the case when you load and crimp

the 102 gr are probably for a 380 acp they would be a hair small for 38spl , 380acp and 9mm are 355 so you load .356 or .357 in them 38spl and 357 mag are .357 so you load .358 or .359

thin about it like this if you have a but and bolt and the bolt is soft and slightly undersized what happens it strips , but if it is fully filling the thread of the hard nut it has little place to go and stretches but holds. that is what you are doing with cast boolits they stretch a bit , your displacing lead and the best way to do that is to fill into the groove.
