Quickly removing fmj? - 10/10/18 02:18 PM

Alright so this year I didn't like how after boiling and dying my traps the ones I had fmj on last year had a milky color from the fmj still on them. Is there a way to quickly get the fmj off or soaking it in something that I can get 5 gallons of relatively cheap? Would like to do all 4 or so dozen traps at once.

Your not supposed to boil fmj...it's one of the ways of removing it.

It sure doesn't seem to get rid of it though...

Must be that green haze that is on some MJs I bought last year I just boil and wax over it as It won't come off! LOL

Takes a stronger acid or lye to fully get rid of it, might still need to pressure wash immediately afterwards or maybe a cement mixer.

Could try floor stripper perhaps.

The stuff was intended I think for you to just pressure wash at the end of the season and be done with it.

Floor stripper and pressure wash works.

There was a thread on here last year about this and one way was to soak overnight in the purple cleaner you get at wal mart . I did that this year full strength and let set for 24 hours and hit with water ,seemed to work for me . That stuff is in the auto dept,
