A lot of stick hunters hate compound hunters, a lot of both groups hate xbow hunters, a lot of all of these hate youth seasons and gun seasons. I will never understand, especially with hunter numbers dwindling, why some feel there method is SO MUCH MORE superior than others. What is better, pontification over methods, or maybe understanding there are those whose age or previous injuries require that they use xbows if they wish to continue enjoying the outdoors.

I am still laughing. I do shoot a crossbow now with my bad shoulders and the years piling up. Wasn't really never for or against them. To each their own. But this clip was FUNNY!!

I have to admit when I first clicked on this I was really thinking that Hitler had forgotten to make everyone register their cross bows and lost some men to crossbows and in turn lost rifles to cross bows.

but it was very funny any way.

I was just reading something today that the sole survivor of the Warsaw ghetto uprising that held the Germans for a month was possible because of the guns they had gotten in to the Ghetto a large number of them coming from dead Germans they had killed.

That is almost exactly how one individual on here from Pa. portrays crossbows and his hate for them.

10 years ago I had to give up shooting my compound do you ostioarthritis. I was in Cabela's looking at a X-bow when two guys butted in asking why I was contemplating a purchase. For whatever reason I answered the idiot and he went into great detail about diet and physical therapy telling me to give these things a try before buying a X-bow.

I finally told the Cabela's salesmen that I guess I wasn't making a purchase because I had had enough harassment. Within minutes they escorted the two out the door. When I finally made my way to my car they were waiting for me and again started in about physical therapy. The whole ordeal to me was unbelievable. These two claimed to be hunters and claimed to hunt deer. It was one thing to deal with non hunters but these guys were fellow hunters.

Infighting in any any sport turns my gut.

I support the use of any weapon to kill deer. I even support using your hands to strangle them, if you're fast enough.

Dead is dead, all kinds of options.

I wished they just opened deer season and let you use what you brung. You only get but so many tags. Dead is dead. The only reason the game departments don't is because they would lose about 75% of their license income for all of the different weapons licenses becoming unnecessary.

Gosh I remember years ago we couldn't use them unless you had a disability and any one who did use them was ostricized at taking the easy paths. There weren't many sold around here either.
Now they are OK to use and have an entire section of Scheels and at Cabela's just for crossbows.

Thanks for sharing this. Funny how perceptions and ruffled feathers get when someone gets something in their mind.

Now if they ever legalize snaring for deer...wouldn't THAT be a game changer...
