So what is the general consensus, from coyote trappers, 1 out of how many are good in your area?

Re: Grading Coyotes in the Field - 11/22/18 02:39 PM

I dont have to toss many here, but the quality changes year to year. Last year my coyotes were all flat but a couple. The first few this year have been decently furred.

Although I don’t target coyotes while trapping. We do kill a fair number running dogs. I would put an estimated guess of about 15-20%

Re: Grading Coyotes in the Field - 11/22/18 03:39 PM

Last year we killed 36 coyotes In CRs. 3 we tossed 2 brought $76.000 the other 31 averaged $15.00. We don't have a decent coyote In this area.

Said it years ago! If you skin enough of the them, you'll get a winner! Kind of like lottery tickets! Winner winner chicken dinner...
