Fur Harvesters Convention in North Bay

I think I am going to make the trip this year. Now that the convention is in January the weather may be more of a concern but I’m guessing they know how to handle it up there.

Is anyone else going?

See you there Furminator.I am glad they are having it in winter again.For years it used to be in February,then they moved it to April.
If the weather is cold I will do a frost scraping demo.

I've got family over there and always say I'm gojng to visit them and do the program but when the time comes I can never find the will to make the drive.

North Bay is a great town,and lots of trappers from the USA come to the convention every year.

I think the new time sucks. I have to be at the Toronto boat show for two weeks at that time. If it stays at this time I will never be able to go!

Who wants to hang out with a bunch of half gay yuppie cottagers in toronto when you can hang with a bunch of stinky trappers in fast eddies bar at the fur barn in North Bay,lol.

I have my room reserved at the Best Western. Now I just have to drive there. I plan to drive up on Thursday (about an 8 hour trip)

I will be coming through Port Huron/Sarnia. I’ll head towards Toronto then north.

Stop by the Yamaha Waverunner booth and say hi. Last name is Hutchinson on the name tag. I'll be there every day except one mid show when I have to run back home and check snares! Priorities you know!

Any one else making the trip?

I will be driving up on Thursday the 17th and should be there by Dinner time. Are there any "must visit" restaurants and things to do in North Bay?

The" Moose"downtown has pretty good wings.

Furminator wants to know where the good breweries are.
Sounds like a fun trip. It would be between 9&10 hours for me. I will make it up there one of these days to see Boco frost scrape something. That’s the only bad part about working a weekend shift job. You gotta choose which one of these events you want to take vacation to attend every year. The 4 days off every week is nice though.

the last time I was staying in north bay I forget what was going on but I stayed at the best western and mentioned I was just at FHA and they gave my family a 10% discount on our stay

It was a fun weekend (way too many Molson's though) Everyone we met was great to us while we were there. Having a Q&A with Boco inside was a lot nicer than watching that demo in a sweatshirt only!

I did find all of the breweries while I was there too!

I was standing beside the dumpster with my 3 daughters , I left my toque in the truck and my ears were near froze by the time Robert was done lol
