Crawfish

I got a big 'ole cray fish in a colony trap the other night. Many experience that? I wonder if furbearers like those crawfish.

Mink and coon sure do!

Well they always say 'set on location". Leave it in and see who it works.

Have taken crayfish and good sized fish in colonies.Those fish have scared the crap out of me.Go to pull up the colony and all of a sudden there is a thrashing and splashing.

I caught he first coon I ever trapped on my own on a crawfish.
It was 7 degrees that morning. I couldnt believe it when I saw it in the trap.
I had checked it for 2 weeks and nothing.
I can still remember how it felt to round the bend. In the crick and see it there. I was hooked.
