A bunch of my deer hunter friends all run Muddy cams and seem to be happy with them.

Bought 2 stealthcams at meijer on clearance for 35 bucks a piece. For that price, I don't care about the quality.

We had a guy doing a 3 year bobcat study at our last FTA chapter meeting . He said he had over 200 trail cameras out all year long and for the money ( under a $100 ) the Browning recon was the best but I’ve not been able to find one .

Hope this helps, good luck.

I will back the Browning recon. I only have 10 but they have worked perfectly from -15 to +95.

I have loved these new Exodus game cams. They have a great warranty and are alaska tough

I bought a Moultrie M50 and Browning Strike Force specifically for videoing bear bait sites. I like the browning a little more but it's not noticeable enough to warrant the extra $40-50 IMO. Waiting for a 20% from F&S usually beats amazon prices. Never had any luck with wildgame lasting longer than 2 seasons. But I run wildgame cheapos in areas I'm concerned about theft.

Check out the website TrailCameraPro. GREAT detailed reviews on each camera.

I really like my cellular trail camera. So cool getting photos e-mailed and texted to you shortly after they are taken. Saves a bunch of money on gas and saves a bunch of time.

If you're looking for quality and economy you can't beat these Primos cameras for video. Here's a couple youtube links from mine. They have great sound quality too, listen to the crows in the first one.

I run the $100 Walmart Bushnell cameras. Probably the most dependable cameras I've ever owned.

How long have you been running Primos and how are the night videos?

I bought 3 of those Primos Truth cams. Two were completely dead in under 6 months. The third has been going for almost 3 years now. However the night videos on that surviving camera have degraded over time to the point that they are worthless.

I won't buy anything with the Primos brand on it ever again.

Here's a night video from 2016 when that camera was nearly new. Not bad. Should pull the card and update with current video (lack of) quality.

I have 3 farms that I run cams on . I have gone to the wild game terra 12. Found them earlier on amazon and dicks sg for 35 bucks. Great pics . Don't eat batteries. Plus if one walks away (never figured that out) it won't hurt as bad. THEY TAKE GREAT PICS . THE one and only draw back is if you are looking at the card in a hand held card reader it may be hard to see time and date . If you forget your reading glasses at home lol.

Oh yea I have 15 of them no problems from any .....

I use Covert MP8 Blackouts, excellent battery life, good pics, and coyotes don't turn inside out when they get their picture taken. I have one that has been on the same tree for three years without being taken down, I have to change the batteries twice a year.

I've been using them for several years. The 2 I use most often are on their 3rd year and the night video quality is just like the one you've got posted. I also run several Covert MP8's and they take great pictures but the video isn't even close to the Primos quality. Primos also had excellent customer service when I dealt with them on another model camera a few years ago. They've been good for me and I run cameras year round.

Re: Trail cams - 02/06/19 01:27 AM

Primos 1, generation 02 cams are definitely worth the money, I have 3 of them now for over 2 years. You just missed a sale at Dicks sporting goods for $49/camera, but they will be that price again if you watch. These cams have the brightest (red) flash of any of my cameras (13). I currently have two of them out despite the cold Minn winter, last week it was -30's overnight and -teens daytime highs. Not to mention the battery level is still at 70% from Sept 2017. Nice photo quality, video is ok, but the microphone in video isnt great.

Re: Trail cams - 02/06/19 01:39 AM

I have used Wildgame Innovation cams for the last 10 years with no complaints. Have had Primos and Moultrie but didnt even get one season out of them. Have a couple Stealth cams but the sensor is so sensitive on them that i get 1000 pics of grass blowing in the wind. Would recommend Wildgame cams for affordability, longevity, and picture quality.
