Some snow here. But we had over 4 inches of rain in Dec. Got to water trap for 3 days before it froze up. This has been the worst weather trapping conditions in the 49 years I have been at it.
We tripped everything in Ks this morning ahead of the storm. Well go pull em all when we dry out. Just a few cat cages running around the house, can check em all from the road w a scope.
It's just starting here. We didn't get much rain, but on my phone weather here, they are calling for 90% chance of snow from now till about noon tomorrow. I hope they're wrong! It was 100%, but they have backed it down. I hope they keep it up! lol
East and North of Dodge City. It’s just a mess down here! It was finally dry enough to go at it again, and now this. I just waxed 4 dozen Jake traps, doesn’t look like I’ll be using them for a few weeks. We can barely make it down the county roads to feed wheat pasture cattle.
It is pretty much over here, we got an inch of wet snow, but I think I can go in w some sifted cow manure for bedding (chute scrapings) and get the line back in shape. This storm wasnt as bad for us as the last one. If it looks like a go ill give the line another week, have been seeing a few rubs now.
