And then the dance. Only after the the quarry was reduced to possession.
I am in awe. I now feel like slapping my two sons upside the head, and not even tell them why.

That is way awesome reminds me of taking my kids ice fishing when they were young. That was a happy video no politics no bad karma. Your a lucky man spend every minute with them you can great for them and you. By the way she has perfect form on bringing them up through the ice you taught her well.

Guys this is not my daughter or even grand daughter, I don't know who it is. I do know that who ever is there with them little ones at least during the video, is doing it right. Letting her just fish, do it her way.
When my kids were that age I tried to make sure when I took them out it was like that. It was their fishing trip not mine so I tried to see that I didn't over coach and make lot of rules.. There is so much in this video just done right. Weather looks good not punishing, no one is saying do this don't do that, stop that!. Just haul it in honey! Not about the size, or the kinda fish just fun fishing..
Heck when my kids were that age I didn't even own a cell phone let alone one with video camera. I had an old pocket camera so have some stills with the kids hunting, fishing and trapping. Main thing for me was when the kids were small I took them out. By that I mean I didn't always just take them with. I took them with me sometimes out of necessity and they were there with me when I was doing my thing. When I took them out we went and done their thing I sometimes wouldn't even put a line in the water... Sometimes when I'd take my son ducking when he was to small to shoot. He'd spent more time eating cheese crackers and playing with the dog than watching the decoys bob or looking for birds..It was ok with me just to have him there.. My son will even tell you how he was with his grampa duck hunting, even though he never got to hunt with him before he died..
So anyway I saw this video and just loved it. Not the same but still like a flash back for me with my kids.
My buddy's got a couple grand daughters that age and that little girl in the video could for sure be one of them..
I've been out a couple times with them when they take the kids out. It's more like a family party/picnic than when him and I fish.
Just fun on the ice.
