Gas prices need to go back down

Paid $2.37 Regular at Costco yesterday. I was loving the under $2 gallon price.

It's only going to go up from here. It might come down after Labor Day.

Don't forget that OPEC has cut production by 1.2 million barrels per day. Also the sanctions on Iraq and Venezuela have taken a lot of oil off the market.

Crude oil is at a 5 month high right now.

What's better for us as trappers? High gas prices along with high fur prices or low fuel prices with low fur prices? Which gives us the greatest net gain?

They’re 2.33 to 2.59 here. I’m sure it will be closer to 3 at summer if not more.

For the cheapest prices around you and along travel routes.

With low fur demand? It don't matter if coons are selling @$80-XXL if no one wants them. With high gas prices it's a loss to hobby trap at all, unless you walk all your lines.

High gas prices don't equate to high fur prices anymore than a war equates to a better economy.

Jeez Adam, you complain about gas at $2.37 a gallon? You'd cry if you were hung with a new rope.... as my dad liked to say.

I'm paying $6.50 a gallon here for gas and $6.35 for diesel. When I tell my buddies here what gas costs in the US they can't believe it.

Good news for lots of Americans working in the oilfields and services biz. I was in Senegal a few weeks back fishing and they pay about what the US is now, but at an average wage of $2 a day, not many folks need to worry about filling up the truck.


You could move to a country in the middle east. I think in some countries they pay YOU to fill up.

Compared to White and Swift prices are great.
I was paying $1.70 about a month ago and the new governor hasn't signed the new gas tax bill.

Yesterday I paid $2.95 a gallon. It seems like every gas station in 30 miles were all $2.95

It's still in $2s here which historically is reasonable.
Lots of other things have absolutely climbed in price (clothes, food, vehicles, etc) but gas isn't one of the issues here.

I hate to buy gas in E, oregon -- western is about 3$ -- close to i-5 coridor.

If gas keeps going up, the cost of trucks will go down because people will stop buying them. I need a new truck and refuse to pay the ridiculous cost of one today, so I hope gas keeps climbing. . Doubt it will get top much higher though.

Wouldn’t be that bad here in IL if our tax and spend gov wouldn’t have raised the tax19 cents a gallon( doubled it). Was to help fix the roads they said. Now seeing a percent is going here and a percent there so now it’s about 50 percent will go to roads( most likely in Chicago), now gov wants a progressive income tax to help fix the roads. ( but only the rich will pay). Yeah sure. Getting harder and harder to live here but all the kids and grandkids are here so biting the bullet.

Tommy corbett, our last governor, put an extra 38 Cents per gallon on our gasoline while he was in office. He was from the other tax and spend party. Glad he only got one term. He did not get a second vote from me.
