In the eye of the storm

In the eye of the storm - 04/10/19 09:25 PM

Started snowing lightly at 1 pm.At 4 we already have 3 inches of heart attack snow. The worst is yet to come.
With the way the snow is sticking to all the trees,a lot of them will end up going down.

At least 10 inches on the ground in eastern South Dakota and that is just the start the weather folks say. Come midnight Friday we may need a periscope to see daylight.

Ice/rain most of the day switching to snow now I'd rather have a foot of snow then a inch of ice on everything it's bad for everything powerlines, critters and trees.

Better make a extra pot of coffee Tom, you might be with out power for a wee bit
at least those in the Red River basin it's snow and not rain to hit the river fast.

Re: In the eye of the storm - 04/11/19 09:28 PM

In my part of South Dakota we got a break this afternoon as the storm pushed further north than predicted and formed a hole over us so our snowfall rate is considerably reduced. Think we are at about 18 inches but mostly a guess. The most recent forecast for us is up to another foot in the next day. Waiting to hear from Jediknight who MAY have gotten considerably more snow than here.
