Basic tools needed to build complete AR15 - 05/02/19 02:45 PM
Looks like I am going to be building one because I couldn't find what I wanted that was all put together. I of course don't mind but don't want to spend a bunch on tooling. I thought I seen where someone made a list but I can't find it.

If you buy an assembled upper, you can get away with just a set of roll pin punches, screwdriver, needle nose pliers and castle nut wrench.

You can skip the torque wrench. Use common sense instead and know that after really tight comes really loose.

Good one Scuba1!
Made me chuckle for sure.

Get an 80% lower kit and jig. No special tools needed for assembly. A decent router is needed for milling; drill press is helpful. Then put whatever upper you want on it. Palmetto State Armory has a good variety of uppers and parts. The 80% jigs and receivers are available from a few places. Its all plug and play once you get the receiver milled. Takes a half hour or so.
