Who's Wife Has?

Yesterday evening me & my wife were going to run up to a friends across town using my car, but at the last minute she says we'll just take her car. Now she's super picky about her car & can't stand it to be dirty at all. So off we go & didn't get 300 yards up the road when all of a sudden a skunk runs out in front of her and you guessed it she runs it over lol. It sprayed all underneath her car & instantly she starts gagging & trying to hold her nose, I'm loving it and LMAO. So we head straight to the car wash but like you guessed it no help at all. She won't be parking in the garage any time soon lol.

Has anybody else's wife ever hit a skunk? About how long did it take for the smell to leave? She won't believe me it could take 3-4 weeks easy. I'm still grinning this morning

If you dont want to be wrong in front of ur wife and the smell starts to fade before the 3 or 4 weeks buy some skunk essence and make sure the odor holds in there. Lol

Bought my wife a brand new Subaru, her first ever new car and first ever nice car. She never washes it, its all dinged up and its full of junk. Makes me sick.

Be a sport, crawl under there and wash the car for her, you don't know what a good thing you have when it comes to a wife who cares for her car.

Here in NH....some many skunks get hit by cars....we have the One and only TOMATOE JUICE CAR WASH....I thinks it’s like 35.00 ....and only on saturdays .

My wife would drive thru it twice to make sure the smell was gone even if it was $100. Good thing we're not close to you.`

Mean but Funny!

Too funny. My wife hit one in January right by the house. It goes boom all under the car. Mind you it’s 20 below out. No wash the car or be froze out of it til July. She proceeds to put coffee containers in the back seat. Sprinkled baking soda around all the door seals,( glad she didn’t get pulled over by the police, her car looked like a drug deal gone bad, lol.) Lots of fabreeze and about 5 weeks worth of stink. She just read this post and we both had a good laugh.

Try buying a large bottle of imitation vanilla and spray the underside of the car with it, Chemical make up of the imitation vanilla will help neutralize the skunk essence, and it must be imitation vanilla. Of course the car will smell like a giant vanilla bean, but it is preferable to the alternative.

That's one I haven't heard before. How did you come upon that recipe?

I was gonna say, spray the underside of the car with gasoline, but wouldn't do your undercoat or body deadening any good. Will sure remove skunk though. Had a syringe of essence blow up in my hand one time, hand full of essence, and what to do! Just washed my hand in gas, then had to wear the gas off, but it don't last as long as pure quill!

The wife came back from town one day with several road killed for me, what a woman! LOL

Some friends of mine rent several cabins at the lake they sometimes they find their fridges full of rotten fish after a long lease they said they use the imatation vanilla to clean them works every time

oh ya. We owned a S-10 Blazer years ago for a short while. That thing was a magnet to everything wild. I think it was finally done after the 5th or 6th deer she hit with it in one year.

When my daughter started driving she didn't brake for any animal.
Wife got on her about it. Going to church one evening, she had a skunk run across in front of her
so what does she do...yep, stops right on top of it and yep, it sprayed all under it. It was months before
it finally stopped smelling like skunk. When it rained, it was just as strong...Wife never said anything to her after tbat...lo!
