Selfie Sunday

Just got into my treestand for my first bear hunt this year. Not too sure what’s coming in since my camera was pushed to the side by a bear after only being set for a few days. Got 987 pics to look at when I get home from the past 4 days. I re-baited 4 days ago. I can see a nice size track in the moss from my stand, so that’s promising.

I set this bait up 2 years ago and hunted it only once that year. Shot a real big bear, but never found him. Didn’t hunt again that year and last year I never hunted or even baited at all. So we’ll see what’s coming in!

No never heard of that.
Few cans of klik will keep you going for quite a while out at camp.

I am reminded of the "potted meat" thread that Matt Jones authored on here a few years ago. I told my brother about it from Georgia, and he said southerners loved it because it's food they can gum.

Now it's a Canadian favorite. So much for a regional specialty .

I do have quite the imagination and that does make me think of the absolutely worst things that could happen to me. Beavers and pike biting me while setting beaver traps, bear and Bigfoot attacking me while walking back to the truck after hunting, alien abduction, etc.

Tofu and lentils aren’t my thing. I’m more of a bag of cheesies and a dozen donuts kinda guy.

Hunting was fun yesterday. Saw 3 small bears, most people would think they’re huge. They were probably 120lbs.

During the walk out I heard what sounded like two wolves howling about half mile away. There’s been a pretty good number of them in the area and I’m glad they’re still here for me this winter coming up. I plan on catching every single one of them!

How's the bear hunting today.....did they clean out your bait pile ?
