I honestly doubt that the Canadian citizens would comply with guns being banned. There are too many folks up there that depend on them for sustenance, protection, trapping etc. It would completely ruin the guide hunting industry.

All Kidding aside, where my wife and I spend 10 days or so a year fishing on Lac Seul in northwestern Ontario we will come across a tiny island or a point jutting out from shore.
There will be a Canadian flag planted in a pyramid of mortar and rock placed there with a bronze plaque in honor of one of the dozen or so men who gave their lives in WWII, all from the little bitty Village of Hudson.
On one end of a hundred mile long lake.I suppose that was quite a loss for that place back in the 40's.
