Coyote Boards - 06/05/19 03:50 AM

Ok folks with these coyote prices I'm looking to make a batch of good stretchers for the upcoming season I have always used solid boards in the past but I'm looking for opinions on whether solid or adjustable is going to fetch you a better price per pelt and what your favorite design is again I am looking to make my boards please share your experience and plans with us

Split Boards
I like the style with the "bottle nose", they make the fur look longer and more even from the shoulders to the flanks.
pin the rear legs to the belly side and tail to the back side.

You are not going to improve on the Broads Coloradocat makes on here imo.
Cat broads he makes will make you money.

Whether your board is split or solid should make no difference in the price you get. Each board should provide the same shape pelt, provided you use the split board correctly. To obtain a consistent shape from each board they should be constructed to the same head, shoulder and butt width for the pelt size per NAFA or FHA specs. When using the split board spread the board to the butt width at the specified length and then mark the spreader board accordingly consistency.
