Got a big bear

Shot this one in Manitoba. About 400 pounds but he was so far back in the bush we had to skin and quarter him to get him out so I do not know an exact weight. I'm doing a video on the hunt which will be up on my youtube channel next week. Really fun hunt in the Duck Mountains.

Who did you go with in the duck mountains? I used to guide there. Good times and lots of coloured bears.

Yep..I just ran one like that off the porch two nights ago...

Made a big loop and ended up in a low, wet area near the stand. Wan't my best shot as you will see when I finish the video, but he was dead in a short time nonetheless. Pretty upset with myself over the shot but it turned out okay.

This hunt was with Scott Smith, Canadian Wilderness Outfitters on the north end of the Ducks. I have hunted the south and west sides for years, but I decided for a change of scenery this year.

Where did you guide? I know most all the outfitters around there.
