It was sad to see the old Girl go, but after 57 years; she became a worn out old rust bucket. Had to trade her in for a newer, fancier model!!! grin She lost all her get up and go. Could no longer provide me with a warm bath , or keep up with the Dishwasher and Washing Machine! So, out to the junkyard she went !! She put on a lot of extra weight on her bottom end. Took 3 people to haul her out of the house! eek

New Gas water heater sure heats the water up FAST!!

57 years? Expect 3-5 years out of the stuff they make now.

I like that! Lol I worry if they get that old. They are a time bomb ready to explode water all over and a mess. It will happen at the most inconvenient time of course. Lol

You did good for it to last that long. Awesome!

Well if ya crunch the numbers the thing had to heat up 114 baths worth of water. Not to shabby grin

The amount of calcium and iron that builds up in an old water heater is pretty amazing.

Had to think about it, My Sears 8 year was installed in '83, that's 36 yrs ago! Yowzer. I drain mine now and again to clear the sludge when I think of it.
