cleaning cement mixer

Just got my harbor freight put together. Thinking of putting some gravel and rocks in it with some water to clean out and take off any paint or factory stuff that might fall into the wax dirt and contaminate it. Any need to add a soap or cleaning agent?

Some soap would help float off the junk.
