Rat poison? - 07/22/19 01:04 PM
My wife is freaking out. Lol. Whats a good one? Never had a rat here in 20 years but she opened a cupboard door and there was one looking at her.

Rat poison can be hit or miss, sometimes hard to get them to
Eat it being that they are nephobic, the quicker you get it and
Traps out the better since they don't know the place very well yet.

I'd get traps instead unless your going to bait outside. Inside you never know where the thing will die and if you can retrieve it.

Small sliver of raw bacon on trigger. Peel thin piece duct tape and wrap around.
Peanut butter or bacon grease smeared on pan of #1 longspring.

Was he the guy that put his finger tip on for bait after he cut it off last year?

It's best to use a snap trap or whatever your favorite barn rat trap is. Remember this is a trapping forum, not a rodenticide forum.

Just One Bite. Go to a farm store to get it. You can’t buy good rat poison any more at a retail store. I got mine at Rural King.

Got one in my shed, been unsuccessful with traps so far. Most are sprung in the morning. I think mice set them off. Set glue boards out last night, I'll see in a few hours.

Might need to do some trap mods like an expanded trigger. TDHP is helpful on the ADC forum- just send a PM to him.
