Same window she took out a few years ago I hope I can get just the one window for the non-sliding side last time I replace the whole unit !

My wife has taken out two Windows with a weed eater. I still let her weedeat.

One was a window in a door. It took a little creative engineering, but I replaced it with a piece of plexiglass. It's my basement door, but I can't tell the difference unless I really look at it. Figure it will take the rocks from the weed eater better .

If it's a fairly decent window like Anderson, look in the corners of the glass and there should be a number printed faintly. The dealer may be able to help you if you can find that number.

The mower deck should be 3" off the ground, many people scalp the lawn, grass should be 3-3.5" long when cut, stronger roots , and longer blades to take in dew

Gravel driveway + lawnmower = better buy you an extra glass replacement as your gonna need another in the future.

Re: Wife mowed today! - 07/24/19 08:07 PM

Teach her the phrase; " cut towards your chum, and not your thumb.......you can always get another chum but not another thumb."

Now start moving around chum and with picture windows in the phrase....

I thought it was only in Wisconsin that the wife's were only allowed to drink beer.....when cutting the lawn. Are you sure it was not a empty beer bottle being thrown at you ?

Re: Wife mowed today! - 07/25/19 12:25 AM

I now this may add a little bit to the time it takes her to mow the place, but cut some fitting plywood for all the windows and have her board the place up before she starts the mower. There Problem solved and you are welcome

Re: Wife mowed today! - 10/18/19 07:31 PM

Some women don't get that you discharge a mower away from buildings, landscape, vehicles etc. My neighbor mows for us every now and then when I cant get to it due to work and weather problems.

One time he sent his wife up to mow our 3 acres and that was the last time for her. I had such a mess with grass thru the landscape, grass all over our vehicles, on our decks etc. That was the last time for her. She wasn't a blonde either.

Didn't realize this was an older post. My first thought was, "You left her mow again after slinging a rock through the window? LOL

Dog, she’s not really in it for the mowing now is she?
