El paso shooting "facts"... - 08/05/19 12:07 AM

So I watched a lot of coverage on these two shootings on several different news channels because I knew the gun control talk would be off the charts, especially with the democrat debates going on and all. We have all heard the saying "never let a good crisis go to waste" and these liberals are all over it like buzzards on a gut wagon. Aside from blaming it on trump I heard several of them citing things like how the United States has a gun violence problem and that theres more firearms than people in this country etc... And then Beto O'puke was on several channels since he is from El Paso and he was going on about the gun violence and what has to be done to stop it and he said that no other country allows these "weapons of war" and we have more mass shootings and killings than any other country in the world. He had left the campaign trail to come home to his community and be there and coincidentally get some media coverage, so I did a little research myself and heres what I found. El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico are about 5 miles apart. So as Beto is making these claims, a quick google search says that in 2017 there was 770 homicides in El Paso, 2016 there was 543, but in 2010 there was over 3000! Mexico has very stringent gun laws but tell me what good it has done??? so as Beto spews his lies and false "facts" merely a few miles away REALLY is one of the most dangerous places to be. Whats your thoughts?

I agree. I was having a similar "doesn't happen in the other countries" debate. I found out Mexico has 1 yes 1 gun store in the entire country which is located in Mexico city. Here's one article I pointed them to.

Skip the info and here's a graph from the article look where the US falls.

I have crossed into Juarez over a dz of times from el Paso. They are a wall away from each other. Go into Juarez you'll see pink crosses painted all over for the women that were killed and or raped and killed, white crosses for the men that were killed. You can't drive 5 minutes into Juarez without seeing several dozen crosses painted all over. Roughly 6 times doing missionary work in Juarez. The compound where we stayed had tall walls and gates. Top of the walls had broken glass placed in the concrete while it was being made and barbwire. Most houses with walls around the premises are similar.

When a crime like this is committed, the easy way out is to blame the people who didn't do it.

Unfortunately

And it sickens me to admit this.

I will deal with these individual shooting as they come way better than I would deal with any of these.

It's not a gun problem. It's a heart problem!!

Don't let the Commie turds tell you anything different! Or it won't be a random shooting in a place. It will be their opposition dieing in mass everywhere!

We need to put our families back together and keep our govt out of it!

Yep. As the push for socialism grows ever stronger by the media and most millennials, it's only the sheepdog that is not blindly led on like the flock it protects.

This is a multi headed dragon and semi automatic rifles may be a small part of it. our government leaders from the top down must verbally be moral leaders as well as political leaders. They can be both but right now they are neither.

1310 homicides so far this year in gun free Chicago. That's working out well for them. You won't see it in liberal media. They don't like facts.

Probably 1311 now. More wasted lives than a mass shooting.

El Paso, TX had 94 homicides in 2016, 72 in 2017 and 5 for 2010. I'm not sure were you found your facts or if you just confused your cities.
