How big is your junk drawer?

Good grief! I was picking up and organizing today in my...… let's say...… "outdoor room". I have a ton of stuff that I can't toss out but will probably never use and I will need the day after I toss it. Boxes of junk on the shelf. I consider it an affliction, a hazard of spending my life in the woods. Much like a virus. Who else has this affliction?

I was gonna say" small" untill I seen the word " drawer"

I have several, ones 24x16 another is 48x24 and smaller ones there's valuable stuff in them if I ever run across them but I do run across things I didn't know I had just not what i'm looking for

That's called hoarding-yes it is a bad affliction.I have been doing dump runs a couple times a year.
If I come across something I haven't used for over a year it gets tossed.
A lot of the stuff I toss is perfectly good,just cant be bothered with those stupid yard sales.
Its amazing the stuff one can accumulate over several decades.
Plus,in many cases I seem to have multiples of the same thing.

Which one? Each junk drawer is organized..

I have several and they are full, I moved my ( outdoor room) to a larger empty bedroom and my wife decided to help, it all went good untill we started moving the fly rods she couldent figure out why I needed 9 fly rods. I also found 100 pounds of shot I had forgotten about. I may need to organize a little. More often.

They're all junk drawers. LOL

My "junk drawer" is 24 x 36. That is FEET, not inches. LOL

My junk drawer has its own junk drawer.

When I need something and I find it in that shed I do my happy dance for the Wife to remind her just why I save that junk! LOL

Big enough that if I don’t do something my wife may start taking man parts!

Theres a big difference between Stuff and Junk, Stuff is things you accumulate, Junk is the things you just cant seem to throw out cause if you chuck it today you will need it tomorrow !

The first thing I am going to build when we move to dirt next month is a decent size junk drawer. Some folks would call it a pole barn but I am not that fussy.

A while back there was a cartoon in one of the the papers. It showed an old man with his hand on a young boy's shoulder, standing in front of what looked like a 2 car garage. The garage doors were up and both sides were filled to the ceiling with junk.

You could see old spare tires, boat paddles, fishing rods, decoys, etc. The caption or little bubble over the old man said: "One day this will all be yours.

Mine is maybe 1500 square feet. Has a 30x15 "loft" too (that's what the realtor called the attic), as well as a pole barn over 2000 square feet. My junk drawer is big, and it is, literally chuck full of crap. I have described my existence many times as 5 lbs of crap in a 2 lb bag.

ROOM???? My whole house, basement and 2 barns are stuffed, with some overflow in the yard. It's a sickness!

My youngest brother is like Boco when it comes to junk. He throws it on a pile and burns it so now you know what happened to my junk.

It ain't hordin' if it ain't in the house. You need to watch that hoardin' show. Those people are sick. We're just men. Real men.
Whenever I run into a guy who states that if he has something for more than 6 months or a year he throws it out, I directly demand that he produce his man card. I usually just get a blank stare. Of course he has never heard of a "Man Card".

Actually there is not such thing as junk ..if you have junk, it only shows that you have no imagination. I found what to another guy was a broken boat trailer. To me it looked like part of a frame of a bandsaw mill.

i'd sell my giant scrap pile if i didn't spend so much time pickin things outta it and using them.

That’s the truth!! I had the boys clean a farm shed out a few weeks ago. I’ve been up to the scrap pile 3 times since. Crazy how something sits for 5 years and then is needed a day after it’s tossed.

Clothes are on a table and in the closet.
Dresser is dedicated for junk.

First of all, it's not junk. It's a "collection" of articles I might one day need.

i keep mine contained mostly to the midwest.... definitely within the continental usa!! at one time i had equipment in maine and california..i didnt sleep good till i got it home..

Ask my welder cart if an old bed frame was "junk". He would palm slap one upside one's ignant head.
When I bought the welder, the salesmen tried to steer me towards the welder carts. I laughed in his face and said, "Why would I need that? I now have a welder?!" He snickered and walked back behind the counter.
