That's a white marked Tussock caterpillar
Thy are not poisonous, the hair's cause an irritation.
Try benadryl

Nothing quick about it in my experiences. Cold shower is all that I've found that ends it. Your usually miles from home in a woods somewhere hunting when they get you.

Looks like the thing that got down my shirt while mowing the yard a couple years ago. burnt and itched and welped up all over. Not as unpleasant as eating an Indian turnip but pretty close. Lol

Thanks Boys, just when I thought I had been bit by every insect that had ever lived.
If'n anyone needs jewel weed we have about an acre of it here.
Come help yourself, call ahead tho, my wife is quick on the trigger for uninvited guests.
